For all you pizza lovers coming soon to... um a vending machine near you. No joke check out this video linked below. So this vending machine, Let's Pizza, from A1 concepts allows you to choose from four different flavors and is customizable in up to 90 different combinations. Let's Pizza then kneads the doe, tops the pizza and then cooks it in about 3 minutes and throws the pizza in a box for you. You even get a pizza cutter for "eating right away." Interesting concept which brings junk food to a whole new level. Quality? We'll see....

Control your car with the swipe of a hand

Is it just me or does it seem like everything technology-future based we saw in the movies in the 90's and early 2000's has either been made or is in its early development stage.  From Robots (I'm telling you one day they'll take over), Psychological Stimulant Drugs , Wet Wear (electronics on the body), Financial Chips on phones or implanted in you (Google Wallet) and much more craziness is being tried, tested and developed.

Take for instance Mercedes new toy the DICE  (Dynamic & Intuitive Control Experience).  Mercedes' built a car interior which is supposed to be motion controlled.  There seem to be a few kinks to work out but definitely something I think we will see in the future.   Have a look at the video and check out Engadget's original article on the subject.

Take off your 3D glasses

Not to long ago I remember discussing with a friend the new 3D technology, movies and tvs.  In that conversation I remember him saying that he would be waiting a few years before considering whether to buy a 3D TV because by then manufacturers would have found a way to watch 3D without the glasses.  You can imagine my suprise tonight hearing that Sony displayed their first models at CES in Vegas.  So we have now officially entered the era of 3D without glasses.  I still stand by my arguement that 3D should be the exception not the norm but as with all things tech eventually the markets will force us to buy them.

I camera I phone I spy I something

"Its a iPhone!"

"No its a Camera!"

"No dude its a Camera phone"

Actually its a  Gizmon.  The Gizmon iCA  is an iPhone case, check this, made up of 32  Polycarbonate parts.  Poly who?  Polycarbonate silly. Basically  Polycarbonate is a very tough plastic. But the cool thing about it is the camera features.  Thats right its a case with a camera, or its a camera with a case, either way its a Gizmon.

The Gizmon is designed to be attached to the iPhone or the iPhone attaches to the case either way you choose Gizmon touts a bunch of accessories as well including a flash attachment and a bunch of lens options (pictured below or above .. where ever Blogaway decides to put it)

If you like a Leica…LOOK at this!

Music video to Steve Jobs

Android is my device of preference and readers of BlogginBlodgett may know I have not used Apple Devices in many years. I was on Youtube last night, I was watching a music video and as what usually happens with Youtube two hours later I'm watching something completely unrelated. So I end up watching an interview with the late Steve Jobs from the 2010 D8 Conference. I have only recently got back into following technology trends gradually over the last couple of years. I found this video embedded below quite interesting as I haven't followed the Apple/Steve Job's Story all that closely. There is a lot of insightful information in the interview.  When you have the time watch the full interview embedded below.

Amazon may pay you to leave a store

Strange sounding I know but rumor has it that this Saturday only Amazon is offering a new service that will pay you to leave the store you are shopping at.  In order to take part in this experiment you must have their smart phone app.  The hopes are that you will see an item in a store, scan it, leave the store and buy it online. Read more here

Painting with a Typewriter

We've all come across innovative ideas but this has to be one of the most interesting I've seen to date.  Artist Tyree Callahan has converted a typewriter into what could be considered parallel to an analog printer. Each key stroke represents a different color.  Dubbing his creation the Chromatic Typewriter I'd actually like to see video of this thing in action.  But for now read the interview over here.

Pop goes the ......

Tammy was rushing on her way to a meeting in Toronto and as she speed along the Q.E.W. she felt a jolt and then a loud pop almost like a gun shot.  "Great" she thinks to herself.  Pulling over as the sound of metal scrapping the floor confirms the inevitable... Tammy has a flat tire.  One of the worst things a driver can experience other than blowing a transmission is getting a flat tire.  For most people it means losing an hour or two of important time (because time is important) waiting for someone to help.  Let's face it most of us wouldn't know how to change a tire if our life depended on it.  While there are some tires that claim the title of self inflating the air tire is still a pain.  Well Bridgestone has unveiled its new concept tire (pictured below) which has no air and they do look a little sexy.  Have a whirl over here

Interesting article

While I'm not a follower of conspiracy theories and some of the speculative ideas surrounding how governments operate I am wary of the direction certain political power or movements are taking for example the whole G20 charade but Wired.Com has a really interesting article about some of the questionable practices that are coming into play in law enforcement.  Take the time to read this.

I'll be back : The Terminator comes to Japan Literally

Well it isn't quite Terminator yet or is it?

I still don't understand Japan's fixation with robots doing things that humans can do for a enormous fraction of the price. It actual scares me the more I hear about their robotic development too. A jail in South Korea, has seen fit to spend $863,000 on a trial of Robot Prison guards, who will act as hall monitors. You could feed a bunch of people on $863,000 just saying. Pay the people at Engadget a visit(I stole the picture from them)

Google + Pages Online

While I haven't actually set up anything publicly on Google +,  word on the street is that Google + now has Business and Fan pages.  Actually by the looks of it they have added a few extra categories, more than Face Book, including:
Local Business or Place, Product or Brand, Company Institution or Organization, Arts Entertainment or Sport.  You also can do a search engine look up for a company by adding the plus sign in front of the name you are looking for.  Keep tuned as Bloggin B may be making an appearance.

Unwarranted GPS Tracking coming to a neighbour near you

Well our brothers and sisters down south may be moving a little faster than us but as with many things we often follow suit not far behind.  On the table is another proposed measure to now give police the power to place gps tracking devices on your vehicle without warrant.  Of course this will be only be used to track criminal activity.  One more step towards true democracy.  When this passes in the States it won't be long before it comes into effect here. "And here we go"

Gaming is more mobile

Smartphones over the past few years have made a huge impression on how we do things.  Movies and music on the go, reading on the fly, skyping or chatting while waiting for a bus, blogging while attending an event.. But one thing that has been akward on smartphones is gaming... well until now.  Introduce iControl Pad a new device that will attach to your iPhone giving users toggling and full game play abilities.  Check it out  http://www.gizmag.com/icontrolpad-bluetooth-gaming-controller-for-smartphones/20362/picture/146379/

Radar goes to new heights

Many of us have had the experience of driving a long a highway or multi-lane road at a speed that is above the posted limited when out of the corner of our eye we realize it's already to late the radar trap got me.  But quickly gaging  the surrounds you realize their are a few other cars doing the same speed or may be a little faster.  And so say to yourself "Maybe he got one of them"  Well that no longer matters, or it will not longer matter after 2012.  Peak Gain Systems introduces the all new shiny bold and beautiful multi-vehicle entrapping Cordon Multi-target photo radar.  This new system has the ability to tag the speeds of multiple vehicles as well as a zoom in feature to identify cars by plate number.  So all you Mississauga drivers who have a need for speed the odds in your favor are about to be significantly lowered.   Have a look at the demo video :

What will the future look like

There have always been people who have come up with great visions of what the future will be like.  Heck they even made three movies about it; Back to the Future 1,2,3.   Well Microsoft released on October 25th their latest ideas on how the future will be shaped on their officevideos YouTube Channel.  There are some interesting ideas which are highly likely considering a number of emerging technologies.  For example in the video the idea of 3D imaging without glasses from your phone, tablet, computer, or tv are already in development and have been showcased at CES in past years.  The release of Google Wallet and upcoming Chip Phones definitely will make it possible to use your phone as your hotel room key.  As well as Canesta's gesture control which the Kinect is based will easily provide the ability to move images, documents or holograms between screens.  Nokia's demo flex-phone is the first in what will likely be the paper or credit style phones.  While I think cars may look a little different than the video shows its still interesting watching.  Check it out below.  Look out for my upcoming post of what Mississauga will look like in the future.

Calling Dick Tracy

As a kid I always wanted a watch like Dick Tracy.  A watch you could use to talk or communicate with other people.Well the day may finally be here.   More and more companies are producing computer watches.  The latest contender is the Android based I'mWatch.  Check out the details here.
